I absolutely love this film! I believe it's one of Eastwood's best oaters. From the cinematography to the soundtrack to the acting, everything is firing on all-cylinders. I also find the film to be highly quotable. I love saying the lines along with the actors.
What's the feedback?

It's always one that I try to catch when shown on TV. The red town and flames make for a dramatic visual feast.

Even though I own it on DVD, I always watch it whenever it's on regular TV, too. It just played yesterday on AMC and I was plopped down in the recliner to catch it.

I'm not big on anti-heroes, although I don't like their hats to be whiter-than-white, either. But I find it hard to root for a guy who's only slightly less questionable than the baddies!
