I have the complete series, and am really enjoying going through it. One of the last half hour westerns and it worked. Good cast, too, with Walter Brennan, Dack Rambo and Jason Evers.

I love THE GUNS OF WILL SONNETT. Walter Brennan's performance is wonderful. And it's a true western story with a heart. My only problem is the violence. You always see the guy firing the gun, but you never see anyone actually get shot. I imagine that was something to do with the time slot in which it was first broadcast. I don't necessarily want blood and guts everywhere, and don't want to sound too deep about it, but I think it's important to show the consequences of violence so as not to glamourise it.

I do! I want my oaters to be a slaughterhouse before the gunsmoke clears. ;D
My wife likes these old oaters more than me. She's more tolerable than I am. Heh.
