I think perhaps my favorite author/series would be Johnstons Titus Bass series. I believe there are 7 of these books. Great read.

If you've only read seven of them then you are in for a treat as there are nine. Here's the titles:

Dance on the Wind
Buffalo Palace
Crack in the Sky
Ride the Moon Down
Death Rattle
Wind Walker
I have all these but haven't read any of them. I'm still reading his PLAINSMAN series.
