Hello all! Thank you, Steve, for creating this forum. I really look forward to taking part in all the lively discussions we western fans are bound to have. In the meantime, if you have any questions about Piccadilly Publishing, please feel free to ask me here and I'll answer them as best I can!

Piccadilly Publishing are doing a superb job in bringing back some of those old western series that have become very hard to find these days as ebooks. Not only that they are starting to publish brand new books too.

I don't read ebooks. I prefer hardbacks and paperbacks. With the holidays it's hard to find time to read, but when I do get around to reading a western, I will post my review of it here. I've never really posted reviews though, so I'm not sure how good it will be. Thanks Steve for starting this new Western Chat Board. I will check here often to see what everybody is writing about.

When ebooks and ereaders first came out i swore i would never read one because i prefer the real deal. But then i got my first Android phone and downloaded the Kindle app.And now i love them ,have an app on my comp. and also bought a Kindle love them. I was introduced to many short storys, and series fiction,i also happened along on Piccadilly Publishing somehow.I love all these westerns coming out most of them new to me.So the Moral of the story is TRY IT BEFORE you say you dont like it.

I was absolutely one of those people in the "I prefer the feel and smell of real books" camp until I actually bought my Kindle. Within about thirty seconds of charging it up I was completely converted. To me the Kindle was well-named, because it certainly rekindled my love of reading and collecting. I still love so-called 'real' books, of course. That will never die. But for me the Kindle experience is so comfortable and convenient.

Thanks, John. We have some exciting plans for 2013. To celebrate our first anniversary in May 2013 we will be publishing the first titles in no less than five different series, four of which are westerns (two of them exclusive to PP). Of the reprints, one comes from a well-respected British writer, one from a positively legendary American writer. The fifth book for May 2013 is the first book in a P.I. series from a writer well-known to you all.

Oh yes, we're committed to seeing these series through. I can't imagine any reason why we wouldn't. One of the series on our wish-list is BREED by James A. Muir ... but it takes time to track down the owner of the rights and then to negotiate with them.

BREED would be a good one! I hope you can get it.
I already own all these books, but love picking them up for the Kindle, too. Go figure.

Hi Dave, first the question, and remember this is asked with a smile Is there any chance to get the Angel books a bit closer together in publication months? Well done on the scoop with Terry, I am looking forward to those. Any chance of Revenger making a return?
I think you and Mike are doing a wonderful job getting all these together, does it take a lot of time?. When is #2 Company C out?
I got hold of three GGG Ap mags on ebay. 35 years ago and I am still around to bug you with questions Thanks for being there Ian

I'd like to see THE REVENGER as an e-book series, too.

Well, I can promise you that any series we commit to, we will publish in its entirety -- no cancelling partway through! As I said before, we definitely have BREED high up on our wish-list and are doing what we can to track down the present rights owner. I wish we could have nabbed MORGAN KANE, too, but another company beat us to it. As for THE REVENGER ... Mike Stotter and I were only discussing this a couple of weeks ago. I hope we will eventually be able to publish this one, and at present can't see why not. But all these things take time ... and then we have to find the room in our schedules to fit everything in! However, I can tell you that we have just taken on yet ANOTHER series from the golden age of the Piccadilly Cowboy, but we can't tell you which one it is yet until all the contracts are signed. But I do believe you guys will approve.
Regarding the ANGELs, Ian ... we usually try to leave about three months between books. This is so we don't flood the market with one author at the expense of another, and also because I still believe part of the joy of collecting is being able to acquire all the books in your favourite series over time, and not in one fell swoop. As it stands right now, we have four ANGEL books scheduled for release between December 2012 and December 2013, and three more throughout 2014. But nothing is set in stone -- the schedule changes all the time, as we pick up new series and authors.
It does take time to put everything together, but Mike and I knew that it was going to be demanding. What we never really allowed for was just how popular our publications would be!
Right now I'm writing a third Sherlock Holmes pastiche, but after that I start work on COMPANY C # 2: TO THE DEATH! The events in the second book will set us up for some more fun and games in the third.
